  Symposium Subtopics:
   1. Retrospection and prospects of studies in Taiwanese languages
   2. Contacting Taiwanese languages
   3. Integrating and developing of Taiwanese languages
   4. The disappearance and revival of Taiwanese languages
   5. Phonetics and phonology of Taiwanese languages
   6. Variation and transition of the morphology and syntax of Taiwanese languages
   7. Sociolinguistic issues under contacting Taiwanese languages (new-immigration studies included) and studies on pragmatics
   8. The writing and teaching of characters and words of Taiwanese Languages
   9. Research and methodology on compiling dictionaries of Taiwanese Languages
   10. The interaction between Taiwanese Languages and music, drama, culture, literature, and fields alike

VI. Due Date for Abstract Submission: January 19, 2014
VII. Notification of abstract acceptance: March 17, 2014
VIII. Due date for full paper submission: August 30, 2014
IX. Guideline for Submission:
   (1) Symposium Languages: Taiwanese Languages, Japanese, and English
   (2) Individual Submission: Researches related to the symposium theme or subplots on Taiwanese languages, culture, and teaching.
   (3) Panel Submission: Form a special topic group of 3~5 members (include a Chair)
   Please register and fill out the “Presenter Information Form” online (all members of the special topic group must fill out the information online individually. Both the MS Word and the PDF file of the “Paper Title and Abstract” should be provided and mailed to the E-mail address below.

 (1)Members of Taiwan Languages and Literature Society (members who already paid 2014 annual fees): Free of charge.
 (2)Non-members, paper-presenting fees: Students NT$ 1500; Others NT$ 2000 (registration fees included).
